420, 4:20 or 4/20 (pronounced four-twenty) refers to consumption of cannabis and, by extension, a way to identify oneself with cannabis drug subculture.
The term originated from a group of teenagers at San Rafael High School in San Rafael, California, United States in 1971.The teens would meet after school at 4:20 p.m. to smoke marijuana at the Louis Pasteur statue.
According to an April 2009 article on the The Huffington Post, the group called itself the Waldos because its members hung out by a wall after school. Writer Ryan Grim, citing interviews with anonymous Waldos, claims that the group met by the statue at 4:20 p.m. to begin a search for a crop of abandoned cannabis growing near Point Reyes that they had heard about. They never found the stash, Grim writes, but smoked plenty of marijuana while looking for it.

In Washington state they are pushing a law for legalizing and producing marijuana legally. This guy Douglas Hiatt authored the bill. At the end of the interviewer had a smug question that he maturely answered. You people need to stop lying about it. Why not be open about it?
A LEAP spokesman said “Nothing which is illegal can be controlled.” to the Billings Gazette. A very true statement.

Al Capone profited heavily in the alcohol prohibition. By making something illegal, you’ll already have someone wanting to profit off of it. If you were to make Pepsi illegal, someone would be selling them, and tripling, or quadrupling the price. Thus creating a black market, thus leading to violence. Could you imagine being a victim of a drive-by shooting over some Pepsi? When the US government doesn’t know how to deal with a problem, they make a law, thus filling up our prison system with non-violent offenders. Which cost the American Taxpayers about $22,000 a year per inmate.

I read this article, and I usually read the comments. Another anti-drug person blasts “potheads” and tells us to get jobs. Little does that close-minded person know, there’s millions of us. People he/she hasn’t thought about. Even if that post was a joke, dont you feel that 70 billion dollars is a big expense we have to pay as taxpayers?
I’ve been saying this stuff for years! The government has tested it, they aren’t stupid, it all boils down to money. Greedy & Crooked public officials make too much money off the drug war now, as long as it’s profitable for them, they will keep on doing it, and prohibition will continue to yank away our constitutional rights.

Just goes to prove that everyone is in on pot, you have kids there trying to become doctors and lawyers, and cops! Let’s all sit back and think how much it costs them to go to school, you figure at least 6-7 years worth of schooling, and you have to continually keep going.
