It’s been 40 years since we’ve had this discussion at a federal level. Barney Frank (D-Mass) & Ron Paul (R-Texas) have introduced a bill that will eliminate the federal penalties for possession of marijuana. As one of CNN’s reporter’s put it, “Frank & Paul will have trouble pushing it through congress, and finally the president”. The name of the bill is “Ending Federal Marijuana Prohibition Act of 2011″

NORML has of course setup a page for you to email your congressman/woman. I suggest we all do so. The only way the laws will change is to let your voice be heard. Share it everywhere you can.

Montel Williams is opening a medical marijuana dispensary, yes that’s right, Montel has been an advocate for Marijuana as far as I can remember. He uses marijuana to help with his symptoms of multiple sclerosis. Montel acknowledges there’s a need for a safe place to people that need marijuana as a medicine. The Government would rather granny buy her drugs off the street, risk getting robbed, raped, and or killed. We need more Americans like Montel.

Seattle’s city council, says OK to pot.

The city council members are all in agreement that the drug war in Seattle is a lost cause. The way we’ve been going about the drug control is find it, lock’em up. Does it work? Yes, if we’re trying to increase our prison population. Finally states are coming to their senses.

Sign this petition to end the harsh treatment of marijuana users. The laws aren’t hurting the dealers, they are hurting us the users. Even when they do get a dealer, 12 more pop up around the country.

Come on Hickory Middle School get a grip on reality here. The kids didnt have a controlled substance, they had something that looked similar. Whynot look into why you’re #42 on the list of ranked Virginia Schools. Are we going to start tossing kids out of school now for everything? Whynot the kids who wear the pants around their asses? What about the kids who goto school to sell real drugs. Dr. Jean Infantino I think you need to sit back, and take a long hard look at your previous years probably in college, where you most likely smoked pot.

Drug-Friendly Netherlands to Close 8 Prisons — Not Enough Crime

I find this terribly amusing, they don’t have enough crime to keep the prisons open. Could it be from the lazed drug laws? Could it be their local economy? Maybe even both, or maybe it could just be good ole-fashioned police work(I doubt it)

House Bill 1443 — Virginia

A bill has been pre-filed & printed to remove the jail sentence from simple possession of marijuana by Senator Harvey B. Morgan, again. It appears to be roughly the same bill with changes, I assume to sway other Senator’s to vote for it. I mean you gotta take some of their garbage additions, but if you want it to pass you must be open to new additions. I love it that Morgan is pushing for this bill again, it shows his patriotism, and standing up for what he believes in.
